Description: The FSM-40S delivers the benefits of PAS core alignment splicing in a field-friendly, highly portable, mini-splicer package. The new splicer features a 30% reduction in size, 38% reduction in weight, and a 42% increase in speed, compared to our previous single fiber PAS splicer. Ergonomic improvements allow the FSM-40S to be used in difficult aerial taut-sheath splicing conditions, which require proper work flow and minimal fiber slack. The splicer has been designed for use in harsh, outdoor conditions and features an innovative wind protector, which allows splicing in 30 MPH cross winds.
This unit has the following features:
Fast 15 second average splicing time - the fastest in the industry!
Automatic core to core low loss splicing regardless of fiber quality or age
