Description: The UTF is a holding device used to couple energy into microstrip circuits. The use of this device removes the task of fixturing each circuit with its own connectors and mechanical support. Use of the UTF for each circuit ensures that the connectors and mechanical support remain constant from calibration through test. Input and output connections are made to the substrate device by two spring-loaded jaws that include coax-to-microstrip/Coplanar launchers.
