The VISCOlab 4000 is a viscometer that measures up to 12 viscosity ranges. This small sample viscometer requires less than 1.5 ml of sample per measurement and is self-cleaning. The VL4000 allows for statistical certainty that ensures sample conditions are stable, accurate and repeatable. Because of its innovative oscillating piston design, the VISCOlab 4000 measures fluids in all viscosity ranges at ambient temperatures, assuring consistent and repeatable viscosity measurements. The VISCOlab 4000 incorporates a serial interface to make it easy to output data to a PC or an optional thermal printer.

This unit has the following specifications:

  • Viscosity: 0.2 to 10,000 centipoise (cP)
  • Piston ranges: 1-20cP
  • Accuracy: +/-1.0% of full scale
  • Repeatability: +/-0.8% of reading
  • Temperature sensor: 4 wire internal platinum RTD
  • Wetted materials: 316L and 430 stainless steel
  • Maximum particle size: 25-800 microns (range dependent)
