System has one thermocouple, but it is not in very good condition and is included merely to show where the connection plug is. The battery cover on the rear of the system has had the little plastic locking clip break off during changing the battery. Tape was removed to access it, would suggest tape to hold it closed again. Fortunately the unit has a long battery life.
