The core of the SR530 is a precision analog sinewave multiplier. Lock-ins use a multiplier (demodulator) to translate the input signal (at the reference frequency) down to DC where it can be filtered and amplified. Many lock-ins use square wave multipliers which introduce spurious harmonic responses. The SR530 uses clean sine-wave multipliers which are inherently free of unwanted harmonics.
- 0.5 Hz to 100 kHz frequency range
- Current and voltage inputs
- Up to 80 dB dynamic reserve
Option 01 - GPIB interface
Option 02 - Internal oscillator
System does not include rack mounts
I powered this on as shown in the pictures. Pictures are of the actual item for sale; condition is as shown. Please note that some of the LED indicators are quite dim as shown. Test setup shown is a reference signal of a 1KHz signal from an uncalibrated Stanford Research DS335 Synthesized Function Generator through an uncalibrated 1MOhm resistor and an uncalibrated variable resistor. Final reading is .05 Vp-p from the signal generator and the variable resistor set at 10Ohm with sensitivity set to 1µv as shown. System may require calibration depending on your intended use case. DS335 not included.
